Do you remember that childhood meal time joke where you asked the person next to you if they want some seafood and you replied by gaping your mouth full of mush saying, "Here, see food! Bwah haha!"

Maybe your 7 year old self found that funny, gross or both.

These days the "seafood" joke is on me, with my kids call me out for breaking the manners (and choking avoidance) rule of "don't talk with food in your mouth" when I HAVE TO because they keep asking random questions or NOBODY IS LISTENING TO ME thus requiring that I mumble-holler through my chewing.

"Mommy! Swallow before you talk."
